Who is eligible to play?

Students in 3rd through 6th grade in the fall of 2024 are eligible.

When are practices?

Practices begin Monday, August 19th @ 6:00 pm. The first 3 weeks there will practices Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. After the first 3 weeks practices will be held 2 evenings per week. Specific evenings to be determined by coaching staffs. At this time practices will be Monday and Thursdays beginning September 6th (Tuesday practice the week of Labor Day). This is our complete practice schedule, changes may be made at your coach’s discretion.

When are games?

There are 6 regular season games either Home or Away (locations such as Des Moines, Atlantic, and Earlham).  The games are on Saturdays or Sundays beginning Sept 14th thru Oct 27th (7week schedule, if there is no bye week October 20th.)  There will be no post season play

Who are the coaches?

Coaches are volunteers with instruction/support in coaching youth football. Anyone interested in coaching may contact Nate Christiensen or Steven Boggess. There are courses, membership, and some educational requirements involved with coaching.

Are the games officiated and if so, by whom?

All League games will be officiated by three (3) IHSAA officials.

Is tackle football safe? Should my child play flag football or tackle football?

This is a question which is regularly asked and the answer is dependent upon each individual. In general, if a child is hesitant or does not wish to play it is recommended to wait until they express the desire and interest to play tackle football.

What equipment do I need to purchase?

The only item you will need to provide for your youth is football shoes.

Will my child play?

Yes, your child will play. It is important that each player participate on game day. Each player is guaranteed 15 plays per game (unless there have been practice, attendance or disciplinary issues).

What is the cost?

The cost is $160. Due before July 1st.

Is there financial assistance available?

Scholarships for individuals who express financial need may be available. Please include a note regarding your need for financial assistance at time of sign-up, an initial $50 minimum payment is still required with registration.

Are the registration fees refundable?

Yes, the registration fees are refundable; however, after the registration of our teams on August 1st we will be unable to refund any fees.

Are there other important dates?

YES! There will be a Parent Meeting on Monday, August 12th while uniforms and jerseys are being handed out.
